2nd National Junior Federation Cup Athletic Meet 2002 was held at Priyadarshini Park, Napeansea Road, Mumbai on Oct 3 and 4. 501 athletes from 22 states had participated in 43 different track and field events.

5th Maharashtra State Level Athletic Meet & Maharashtra State Junior Athletic Meet was held at University Sports Pavilion, Marine Lines, Mumbai 20. The event lasted for 6 days having as many as 9502 participants. This event was held on Dec10 to Dec15 2002

ONE WEEK TRAINING PROGRAMME FOR PHYSICAL ED. TEACHERS


Ryan International Sportsclub organized one week training for Physical Education Teachers from 3 – 7 June 2003 for upgrading sports and game-skills of school teachers. It was organized to train Physical Education Teachers in the finer points of Physical Education and upgrade their knowledge and skills to the present-day demands of sports.

The programme consisted of theory and practical sessions for each of the disciplines. Audio-visual programmes, theory and practical classes on the new laws of the games, etc were given by experienced NIS and players of international repute. A teacher was allowed to attend only one game other than Athletics and Indoor games.

Madam Grace Pinto, Director, Ryan International Sportsclub addressed to the teachers and spoke to them about the benefits of sports in schools. A total number of 89 Physical education teachers and Coaches from 45 schools attended this training session.

The 5th Ryan Inter School badminton Tournament was held at Goregaon Sports Complex, Malad from 15th July 2003 to 18th July 2003. There were in all 552 Students from across 52 schools from Mumbai, Thane, New Mumbai & Raigad District which participated in this tournament.
